CT Scan Shows Fibroids In Uterus. Need For Hysterectomy?
I had to go to ER yesterday. The doctor thought my liver was enlarged, not why I was there by the way. He asked if I would have a CT exam. Well, results were that I have a uterus that weighs over 20 pounds and it full of fibroids . It is also impeding my right kidney and ureter . He says I need to have a hysterectomy asap. I can t get in to my doctor until next week and I am wondering how much I need to push to get a fast ob/gyn appointment? Can it be routine, or should I call my doctor office and ask for the referral prior to my appointment? Thank you!
This should be considered an emergency and you should take an appointment with an ibgyn specialist at the earliest requesting for an immediate referral as your curreny condition is causing surrounding organ complications. Please go about the hysterectomy at the earliest, your age would also be an important factor to deicde the exact type of surgeru and follow up.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
