Can ACI Tear Be Corrected By Surgery? Popping In Knees, Pain In Legs
Does a ACI tear be corrected by surgery? I heard a pop in my knees while turning over in the bed. Since then I have hadf trouble with my knee joint. Last month I stepped in a hole and apparently reinjured by left knee and while on a trip I developed lower leg pain in both legs. Now when I stand for a long period of time or walk on a hard surface, my legs hurt. I can set down for a new minutes and then walk some more before it hurts again. What would you suggest I do? Is there some medication that I can take to relieve the pain until the injury heals?

Currently, preferred surgical technique for the routine case, is one using an graft placed, and secured arthroscopically. This technique has many advantages over the previous types of surgery. The procedure is relatively non-invasive requiring only small incisions. The graft can be placed accurately with screw technique & is very secure. This allows early motion and rehabilitation. There is a low perioperative morbidity and a rapid return to the activities of daily living and employment. Results are better it done with in first week (according to a few).Howe ever discuss with your orthopedician & seek his advice. Hope this helps.Take care.
