Hello
Read this very carefully and you will get the answer of your question.
An increased risk for
HIV infection following percutaneous exposure to HIV infected blood ( but as you mentioned that in your case NEEDLE was not contaminated with blood ) is associated with exposure involving a relatively LARGE QUANTITY OF BLOOD ( a procedure that involves a needle placed directly in VEIN, or
ARTERY or a deep
injury).
But in your case neither of these conditions were present.
Still there are so many factors which clearly indicated that this way HIV transmission is not possible .
These are ;
Advanced-stage disease , more virulent strains , antiretroviral therapy ( but this , I mentioned so that you can become tension free ).
In your case I don't recommend any test for HIV infection.
Since you are in
STRESS , so get in rapid P 24 nucleic acid amplification test for HIV confirmation.
Approximately
antibodies to HIV begin to appear within 2 weeks of primary infection ( contact with that needle ).
Mind it if don't take tension ,no need of any test.
Hope this will help you.
