Can Actonel Combi D Be Taken For Osteoporosis?
Hello Doctor, How the drug Actonel Combi D is safe for my health? On Internet feedback most very negative opinions! I am 64 female, never taken any drugs in the past. I have osteoporosis since 2007. What do you recommend to take, because I don t like Actonel already from others feedback? Thank you Ella

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query. Osteoporosis treatments include the “basic CDE’s” -- calcium(C), vitamin D (D), weight-bearing exercise (E), prevention of Falls (F), and bone-friendly medicines.
Strontium,Raloxifene (Evista) belongs to a class of drugs called selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) and Teriparatide (Forteo)
are newer medicines in the management of osteoporosis.
