Can Alka Seltzer Plus Cold Be Taken For Cold?

I am taking Lisinopril and have a cold with sinus congestion. I m curious if I could take Alka Seltzer Cold tablets with a nasal decongestant, antihistamine, and aspirin. Or if i could take regular Mucinex. I ve tried taking just an antihistamine, but it hasn t cleared up the cloggy ear feeling.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Ear block or nasal congestion may be due to viral fever, or Eustachian tube block or infection etc.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.
Use tablet Sinarest ( you can take Alka-Seltzer, if your not allergic) twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
