Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that Amitriptyline can lead to some ECG changes. For this reason, I recommend performing periodically an ECG to detect those possible changes.

Regarding Zopiclone, it does not lead to skipped heart beats, but can cause addiction and tolerance and also withdrawal syndrome like anxiety. For this reason, I would recommend gradually stop it. Regarding skipped heart beats, I would recommend performing an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to investigate for possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
