I was prescribed amoxicillin for what we thought was an UTI, but it turns out to be a yeast infection in the urine. I have now been prescribed to use fluconazole for 7 days, should I continue to take the amoxicillin? In the past I suffered numerous UTI’s and was treated with a lot of antibiotics which caused permanent damage to my left ear. I live daily with dizziness and nausea from the permanent damage. So, you see that I just don’t want to take the amoxicillin but do I need another drug in my system??? Please Help!

I have gone through your complaints and amoxicillin is not indicated in the treatment of yeast infection. It is antibacterial drug. If you have found yeast infection in your urine, no need to take Amoxicillin.
