Can Bactrim Be Taken Instead Of Azee For Cystic Acne?
Hello, I am a 26 yr old female. I have moderate to severe cystic acne all over my face. My dermatologist prescribed me azee 250 mg every night along with application of nadibact cream. This worked for a while, acne reduced little, but never cleared completely. Now in spite of being on same regimen, they are growing steadily. pls give me some advice. Should i ask my dermatologits about bactrim ds??

Acne cystic responds to Dapsone drug very well than Bactrim DS. You may discuss with your dermatologist about Dapsone. It may be taken thrice a day until the good response.
In my patients having cystic acne, I prescribe Dapsone drug. Another mode of treatment is intracystic steroid injection-injection triamcinolone.
