Can Beta Thalassemia Minor Condition Be Reversed In An Infant?

Hi my 13 month old son is diagnosed with Beta thallassemia minor. Doctor suggested Tonoferron. Is there any chance that thallassemia issue can be removed? Will this problem create any issue in the growth of the child, as my son is just 72cm long and weighs 8.7kg?

No, it's genetic and never be reversed. Tonoferon is not needed unless there is Iron deficiency.
It does not cause any problem in growth etc.
One or both the parents must be also Tha. trait. Both the parents need testing.
You in-spite of having, but not knowing, have led a normal life .
