Can Botox Shots Into The Calf Help Improve Movement After Physiotherapy?
My child was born with mild club foot. Had casting, bracing, heel chord cut at 4. Now at 8 the foot is trying to revert and the heel chord is extremely tight again. Currently under PT and some correction thru stretching is seen but Pedi-Orthopod will most likely recommend another heel surgery followed by casting. My question is would Botox Injection into the calf allow/help the PT to get full range of movement with stretching immediately following the injection? Thus avoiding surgery.

Can Botox Shots Into The Calf Help Improve Movement After Physiotherapy?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Botox injection won t be able to achieve full range of movement. If surgery is advised by Orthopedic doctor then you should go for it. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
