Can Bupropion Be Taken Instead Of Escitalopram?

My granddaughter takes Escitalopram 20 mg . Shes has been out of them for three days. Her Dr.has had the request to refill tham and she was given bupropion xl 150 mg instead. Can she take the bupropion today untill she get the other refilled without harm.

Both of these drugs can be used fro major depression and yes it can be used interchangeable, (though frequent changes of drugs for depression is not adviseable) even Bupropion is claimed to have some edge over escitalopram that it does not badly effect the cognition, however Bupropion should be very cautiously used in people who can can have fits.
