Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, chemicals when inhaled, can cause
bronchitis. It is known as inhalational bronchitis.
Cleaning solutions are mostly containing chlorine, fluorine etc.
And these chemicals, on inhalation cause inflammation and irritation in airways.
So bronchitis is common after such incidence.
Your all symptoms are suggestive of bronchitis only.
These are usually self limiting, once you come out of the room and inhale fresh air.
But sometimes antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs are needed to suppress
cough and inflammation.
In severe cases where patient is having
shortness of breath, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) are also needed.
So in my opinion, you should inhale fresh air, start antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs.
You will mostly improve with these. If not improving then you may need inhaled treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
