Can Canesten Pessary Cause Spotting During Pregnancy?

I used the canestan pessary two days ago (advised by my ob that it was ok). I am currently 18 and a half weeks pregnant and today have noticed a very very slight dots of blood. Could it be that my skin is so irriated and broken that this is what it is. It is by no way a large amount. Barely the size of a pin head on the toilet paper

Hi,
No canestan pessary would not cause spotting and it absolutely safe to use it during pregnancy.
If you do get another episode of spotting ,please get an internal examination done by a medical practioner.Otherwise you can ignore this finding.
