Can Cefadroxil Taken For Adult Acne Cause Tickling Sensation On The Face?

I have been taking Cefadroxil for adult acne. The last couple days I have felt like something is tickling my face but there is nothing there. After doing some searching it sounds like some antibiotics can cause this (drug induced lupus). Could this be what I am experiencing?

Cefadroxil is a borad spectrum antibiotic of cephalosporin group. It is used to treat bacterial infection like in case of adult acne. Sometimes, its use is associated with some types of skin itching. However, in your case you are feeling only some tickling in your face. I do not think it's related to lupus (although not reported while cefadroxil use). It might be due to local effect of any other therapeutic topical cream you've been using and acne itself. Please keep regular follow ups with your dermatologist.
