Can Ceftum Be Taken For Dry Cough And Swollen Tonsils During Pregnancy?
Hello mam,I am 16 weeks pregnant and suffering from swollen tonsils n dry cough.Just before I got pregnant I had the same problem n the ENT specialist prescribed ceftum 500mg twice daily along with lacto-b capsule.My query is can I continue with the same medicines now

Though cephalosporins are safe to consume in pregnancy, please do not self-medicate yourself but get the prescription through your consultant only. Meanwhile, try saline gargles, warm water with honey and lemon and steam inhalations for relief. You may need an analgesic also to relieve the tonsillitis pain.
