Can Celexa Be Taken Safely Instead Of Cymbalta?

Hello, I ve been taking Cymbalta for about 1 year. I am on vacation for the weekend and I left my prescription at home. I do not have a pharmacy nearby to give me a few days supply. I ve had this happen twice before. I experience minor withdrawal symptoms and they are tolerable (brain zaps). I found my unexpired bottle of Celexa in my Dopp kit, which is a comparable dosage. I ve never experienced problems with Celexa, but Cymbalta is more effective for me. If I took the Celexa for the next three days, what are the pros and cons compared to not taking it. Thank you.

You may experience some withdrawal effects;
Withdrawal will include some diarrhea, nausea, headache and what they call brain zaps which are like electrical sensations in your head, not painful just annoying.
But according to details you are comfortable taking celexa then you should not worry about that.
