Can Chlorsig Be Given For Conjunctivitis In An Infant?

Hello,
My 2year old daughter had conjunctivitis and has now given it to my 7month old son. I have Chlorsig from the chemist to treat this however the label says not to use on children younger than 2 years old without pharmicist or doctor advice? Is this safe to use on my son?
Thank you

It is chloromycitin eye drop. It should be avoid in children below 2years of age. It causes bone marrow depression. Now it is avoided in adult. so avoid it for your son.
