Can Chylamydia Occur Non Sexually?

My wife informed me last night that she tested positive for chlamydia. I know she didn't get it from me because she is the only sex partner I've ever had. She claims that she hasn't cheated on me in a year. Can it be passed in any non sexual manner or is she full of baloney?

Hello
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
It is only transmitted by sexual route means anal, oral or vaginal sex.
It is not spread by sharing personal things or kissing with infected partner.
It may be spread by sex toys used by infected person, no other route identified.
If mother is positive for chlamydia, can transmit to baby during pregnancy.
It causes discharge, pain, fever etc.
It is bacterial infections, and can be treated by azithromycin antibiotic tablet.
Thanks for contacting.
Take care...
