Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am emailing this question for one of my employees - I starting taking Clindamycin 300 on Friday (2 dozes each day) On Sunday I took my first doze & then noticed that the left side of my face was numb, left eye would not close all the way & could not drink from the left side of my moth. I did not take any more dozes. What should I do??
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Yes,numbness can be a side effect of clindamycin. In this case I suggest you to stop the medication and go to the emergency room for a neurological examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
