Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had surgery a week ago. They gave me the prescription of clindamycin 300mg antibiodic for any infection. Every time I take it I feel like I have something in my throat or Isophicus. Since I tool one before I went to bed, I now feel I can't get this feeling of air blockage?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain you are having a feeling of something struck in throat as well as congestion and air blockage.. It seems that you are having an allergic reaction to Clindamycin and the symptoms seems to be secondary to allergic reaction..
I would suggest you to stop taking the antibiotic and immediately consult your treating physician.. In case if there is allergic reaction he can change the antibiotic and give you an other group of a Antibiotic that would not cause allergic reaction..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
