Can Compazine Suppositories Cause Drowsy And Memory Loss?

I received a phone call from my 18yo daughter in law; she was prescribed compazine suppositories yesterday for hyperemesis gravida; she stated that she has been rather drowsy, etc since starting this and was having trouble remembering if she took her prescribed zoloft; She had discovered that she only has about 6 tablets left now, feels that she may have kept waking up and taking her dose, repeatedly; thought to call me because it is a new Rx of about 2 weeks ago and I am a nurse ; I do not know the dosage; I called her friend and asked for her to be brought to the ED; (they are in SC, I am in MA; her husband is on a training operation-Marinesdl) Besides notifying the ED of the information that she gave me, is there anything else we should do right now,

Compazine will USUALLY cause drowsiness; it is usually mild. IT does not often cause memory problems but I wouldn't be surprised by it.

The toxicity of compazine is most commonly muscle spasm, and of all meds, benadryl is a specific antidote for this. IT will NOT help lower drowsiness; indeed benadryl is quite an effective sleeping pill by itself. Compazine toxicity would likely peak at 2-3 hrs after taking it and wear off over the course of a day.
