Hi there Sameer.
I read your history with interest & empathise.
It does appear the male members in your family have a lot of 'head-space'. Mine does too. From your description, it appears to be 'Male pattern Baldness' or "androgenic alopecia' & this diagnosis will not be rocket science!
However, the treatment will vary according to your expectations, current scientific methods available & your budget not forgetting last but not least the competency & skill of the dermatologist/trichlogist you visit & his/her set-up.
For starter's Yes you could go with the 10% minoxidil lotion applied twice daily in the dry scalp in the afflicted regions.
However, to assess you further, one would require at the very least clear digital photographs & a trichology/hair count et al & to visualise your donor area should you consider hair transplantation.
Please use this HCM site to find a dermatologist you are comfortable with nearest you. If in Bengaluru, you are most welcome to come pay us a visit at Vikram Hospital.
Good Luck & wish you a good head of hair soon.
