Hi,
Duphaston is composed of 'Dydrogesterone', which is a progestin medication which is used for a variety of disorders. Conditions where it is indicated for use include threatened or recurrent
miscarriage during pregnancy, dysfunctional bleeding,
infertility due to luteal insufficiency, dysmenorrhea,
endometriosis, secondary amenorrhea, irregular cycles,
premenstrual syndrome, and as a component of menopausal
hormone therapy.
Since, your doctor has indicated that you seem to be having thick endometrium, you can take the medication on consultation with your doctor for the symptoms of irregular menstrual bleeding. However, if this is not effective, you might have to undergo dilation and curetage procedure.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
