Can Excedrin Migraine And Musonex D Cause Elevated Liver Enzymes?
I recently had blood work, and my liver enzymes were elevated. My AST was 93 and my ALT was 92. I am not a drinker, but I do take slit of Excedrin migraine and Musonex D. Can that be a factor in the high elevation?I am seeing my doctor tomorrow, will he reschedule another blood test?
Increased liver enzymes can be due to different causes such as: (1)fatty liver either alcoholic or non alcoholic fatty liver (2)infection-hepatitis (3)side effect of medication (4)trauma to the liver (5)mass in the liver (6)congenital liver disease
Excedrin does contain acetaminophen and excess use can cause liver disease but your doctor will still the other causes. Imaging , such as ultrasound , may be suggested.
I hope this helps
