Can Flagyl Affect The Accuracy Of A Pregnancy Test?

Hi.so i have been feeling under the weather lately and i normally have my period for 12 days or 15 so instead i had my period for just a day recently and when i went for a pregnancy test it turns out negative, so i wanted to ask can flagyl affect the pregnancy test? Because i was on metronidazole that day.

No, Flagyl would not typically affect pregnancy test results. Pregnancy tests correlate and the levels bhcg and this is not affected by Flagyl. Physical, mental or emotional stress can potentially affect pregnancy tests and it is possible, since you stated you were feeling unwell, that one of these may be playing a role.
