Can Flucloxacillin Of 500mg Be Taken Instead Of 1000mg?
Hi, iv e been prescribed flucloxacillin 500mg, told to take 1000mg x 4 a day.. (for a laceration on left hand that required surgery to repair tendon) im 3 days in to it should i switch to 500mg for the next box? (im about to finish the first box out of 2)
Hi Thanks for posting your query onHCM I have read and understood your concern. You may switch to 500mg.However, you just need to make sure the dose you take is equivelent to the dose prescribed by your Doctor. That is, if you were prescribed 1000mg and to take a tablet x 4 per day, you may take 500mg two tablets x 4 per day.The dosage is still respected as prescribed. Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns Wish you good health
