Can Gabapentin Be Taken Along With Amitriptyline?

I have spinal issues for several decades. had lots of outright wows tearing the body up. so, after the January 1 that you have to get your benzodiazepines from a PSY. left me in quit a learch as I m not psychotic or issues in that area. don t seem to be able to fake it. so I m looking for another cross over. I only have 5 bulges, one of them a nice fissure. gabapentin seemed to be a logical look see. ligaments have wore out and things bump into the nerve root. wasn t bad. will it mix with amatryptaline? seems I have to wait till pay day

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that it is OK to take gabapentine and amytriptyline, except for the fact that they may lead to increased sedation and sleepiness. For this reason, I would recommend switching from amitriptyline to gabapentine or take low doses of gabapentine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
