Can Glipizide Cause Weight Gain Despite Consuming Only 1000 Calories A Day?

Hello i have been on glipizide for diabetes 2 since my bowel blockage in late Dec 2021. I was watching my intake and kind of food and was down to 150 lbs. since then I ve gained 15 lbs and I can t lose weight. I m only consuming 1000 calories a day. will glipizide cause this problem.
