Can HIV Been Transmitted Because Of Using A Wet Toilet Paper To Wipe The Private Parts? But The Test Showed Negative?
Okay I was on my period recently and I sat on a wet toilet. When I was wiping off the urine off my legs, I passed the wet toilet paper near my private area and wiped a bit of blood along the way. I got nervous and thought I had now exposed myself to HIV. Can I get the virus that way? Also, I tested negative two weeks ago.
Wiping with a wet toilet paper around the genitals carries a negligible risk for HIV. So there is nothing to worry. The negative test has more conclusive, if it had been done after 12 weeks after the risky act. Dr S.murugan
hello, thanks for posting question , just by wiping with paper HIV doesnt spread , so relax no need to worry. route of HIV infection spread are mainly sexual, HIV spread through semen, vaginal secretion and other major route is through blood and serum.. tests for diagnosis of HIV infection are ELISA ,PCR ..these two are screening test and can be false negative in initial period..P24 is most confirmatory test..it gives reliable result even in early stage Regards, Dr.Nehal
