Hello, so my boyfriend and I were at a restaurant, and about halfway through his food she noticed on the bread that there was something that looked like blood. He did not finish eating it. But he is concerned that, if it was blood, what if he consumed some before he had realized it was there. It would have been a fairly small amount, so I guess my question is that, if it was infact blood, is he at risk for things like hepatitis or HIV? And what should be his next steps to making sure he is ok?
hiv and hepatitis viruses didnot transmit by this way of ingestion..even it was blood on the food it will not cause any transmission of hiv virus...hiv virus transmit mainly by sexual contact or percutanous injury...also hepatitis b and c transmit by blood and percutanous injury not by ingestion of food but he may be at risk of hepatitis a or salmonella or other bacterial infection so if he suffer any symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea or fever he hould see his doctor dont worry
hope that helps
