Hello, the transmission possibility remains and it also depends that the CD4 cell count of the patient, patient on ART on not too.
So what I suggest you , to go to ICTC , and report as 'Occupational exposure , for which you will be counselled, tested after consent and be started .the PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) which comprises of 3 Anti
HIV medicines to be taken for 28 days and usual result is that HIV does not get transmitted after a PEP'.
