Hi,

HIV RNA PCR test can detect the HIV infection within 15-33 days. Hence, a test done after more than 5 months, means you are negative for this infection. Though, this test is having a very high sensitivity and specificity in its results, still, antigen-antibody test (4th generation combination test) is the most accurate test, out of all these tests.

Hence, if you are having symptoms, as described, then you may be required for further testing like other infections or auto-immune diseases etc. Testing for tubercular infection seems a requirement in your case. For reaching at a definite diagnosis, even a biopsy of the lesions or glands may also be indicated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
