Can I Be Pregnant As Periods On December 22 And Intercourse On 29?
I am 35 years old and I just recently stopped taking yaz birth control after taking it for about 4 years. I had my first period on November 23rd and the next one on December 22nd. My fertile period started on the 1st of this month (January 2014) but I had sex on the 27th and the 29th 3 days prior to my fertile period. I am not due to actually ovulate until the 6th is it possible that I could still get pregnant? Thanks in advance
As you got two regular menstrual periods with around 30 days duration after stopping the birth control the pills, there is possibility that you might be getting ovulation as expected in the middle of the cycle, that is in between 14th to 18th day.
According to history as you had intercourse on 6th and 8th day of the menstrual cycle, the possibility of pregnancy less. But as spermatozoa can remain active in female body for up to 5 days, we cannot completely rule out the possibility until proved.
If you get periods as expected, no need to worry. If not, please go for urine pregnancy test once to rule out the possibility.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
