Dear patient. Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.
I can understand your concerns about conception given that your USG shows features of POD. I will try my best to answer your question and help you through it.
Polycystic ovarian disease is a condition wherein there is anovulation, glucose intolerance, hirsutism, hyperthecosis. However, this can be corrected by laproscopic surgery where the cysts are ruptured and cauterised. Metformin is given for glucose intolerance. Depilation is done for hirsutism.
The anovulation is treated with HCG. This induces ovulation and leads to conception.
I would thus want to reassure you that you can conceive once the POD is treated correctly.
I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.
Yours sincerely, Dr Thakker.
