Can I Cure My Thyroid With Exercise And Diet?

Hello Dr , I recently came to know that my tsh is 6.5 , and my doctor sugusted me medication for 1 month and she want to recheck my thyroid . I am worried that do I need to take medication lifelong or will doing wood excercise and food will keep my level normal, please guide me on this

TSH of 6.5 is above the limit of normal..
It is better to start a small dose of thyroxine.
But the dosage depends on the age,sex,other medical illness etc:
Hence it is advisable to start after proper medical check ie. by a doctor...

You can do a Test called Anti-TPO which will tell the level antibodies against thyroid in the body...If the antibodies are strongly positive,then you will have to continue the Thyroxine...

It is better to take Thyroxine if it is indicated .Thyroxine is a safe drug..
