Can I Get Pregnant With One Tube Open?

hi i am married last 2 1/2 yrs but still not pregnant.i checked with doctor had test mine both tube were blocked so they opened only one and other is still block , doctor gave me fertyl 50mg to,2 tablets in a day start from 2nd day of my periods.this is my 2nd month will start from tomorow ,when should i have intercouse with my husband,can i get pregnant with one tube open.please advise me what should i do.should i take folic acid .please help me

Yes you can get pregnant but of course chances are reduced as compared to two tubes opened. There is no need for folic acid as there is no direct therapeutic indication as concerns your fertility. You can start having sex from the 10th day from the start of your period. Do practice sex especially at night ( as ovulation is most likely going to occur at that time). Continue regularly till the 18th. Your husband should allow some resting period so his sperm count can build up ( resting period must not be up to 24 hours). Optimize the activity around the 14th day. Then you can get a pregnancy test after missing your period and also a pelvic ultrasound.
