Can I Have Sex While Suffering From Syphilis?
I am a homosexual male, was diagnose with Syphillis, had 28 days of doxycycline (allergic to penicllin), my partner had 3 shots of penicillin over three weeks... we have had no sexual contact for 5 weeks... is it safe to resume sexual relations with each other?

The reactive serology might take more than 6 months to become non-reactive. Condom protected sex is preferable till you become non reactive. If either one of you had not been cured adequately, there is a chance of re-infection is there. Otherwise follow the advice of your physician. Dr S.Murugan
