Can I Split My Pantoprazole Dose In Half, And Change The Time I Take It?

I take 40 mg of pantoprazole once daily around 2pm.I ve been on it for 1 month.. I feel really tired. Thinking 40 mg is to much... I have a bottle of 30 pills left. Can I split and try half the dose? Should I call and notify my doctor? Should I take it a different time of day??

Hi,

In my opinion, 40mg of Pantoprazole is not an excessive dose, rather it is a normal dose. Just making it half or changing the time of its intake will not solve your problem. As I think that your tiredness is not due to Pantoprazole, as it has no such known side effect. It may be possible, that you need a re-evaluation of your disease. Hence, I advise you to see your doctor for your problems & treatment done accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
