Hello,
Symptoms of confusion and irritation commonly occur due to dehydration, blood sugar level extremes, including very
low blood sugar (
hypoglycemia) and very high blood sugar (
hyperglycemia), lack of quality sleep, malnutrition, stress and anxiety or any underlying disease that is not yet diagnosed. Keep yourself well hydrated. Take adequate amount of water and fluids. Take food in time, avoid skipping meals. Prefer to take home made food & avoid taking fast food.
Take quality sleep at night. At least 8 hours of sleep is a must for healthy brain and body. Take adequate rest. Stay away from addictions if any as
alcohol intoxication and alcohol poisoning triggers brain irritation and confusion. Switch to healthy lifestyle. Do regular walking in the morning and evening, get connected to a physical therapist, for
massage therapy, CBT, group therapy, talk therapy, it will be helpful.
Get clinically examined by a GP and get required tests and investigations done to rule out any brain lesions & brain pathology. You will be accordingly treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
