Can I Take MTP Kit To Remove Pregnancy?
hi m 22 years. my last period date was 25 august 2012. i had sex my bf on 12th sep and 4th oct. but my periods didn't come. today i checked that my pregnancy test is positive. please suggest me, how can i stop my pregnancy can i take MTP kit medicine.

Pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation can very safely and reliably be terminated by Medicines.
Tab. Mifepristone followed after 24-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol can terminate early pregnancy. However, these medicines are prescription medicines. They should be bought by Gynaecologist's prescription and consumed as per Gynaecologist's advise about the dosage and schedule of the medicines.
Usually the abortion is complete within 24 hours but not later than 3 days after the last dose of Tab. Misoprostol. It is advisable to confirm the completeness of abortion by ultrasonography.
These medicines cause the developmental errors in baby; hence in case of failure of the medicines to abort, the pregnancy should not be continued. Then it should be terminated by surgical evacuation of uterus by MVA aspiration or so.
Please report to the Gynaecologist for appropriate advise about the medicines; do not take them of your own.

Yes you can use MTP kit for termination of early intrauterine pregnancy (up to 63 days gestational age). But it shold be taken under proper guidance and supervision of the gynecologist. Gynecologist's prescription is required for MTP kit. Pelvic examination and USG should be done before using kit to confirm the gestational age of intrauterine pregnancy. Do not take without consulting the gynecologist as it cause excessive bleeding, incomplete abortion, severe cramp and malformation of fetus in failure (if used without guidance) that require surgical process immediately. Mifepristone should be followed by misoprostol after 48 hour. Dose and schedule should be modified according to gynecologist advice.
