Hello,

Since you are a diabetic, control your blood sugar level to prevent further complication like neuropathy, etc. Try to get relieve from constipation naturally. Include fiber rich food in your diet, take papaya, both raw & ripe., take pear, kidney beans, lentil, green leafy veggies, etc. It will help better bowel movement. Avoid taking red meat, take lean meat. Avoid taking food that takes long to digest.

Stay active. Do morning and evening walk. Avoid sedentary lifestyle. Stay well hydrated, take fluids & water. Dehydration causes constipation. You are advised to take laxatives at bedtime. Sorbiine syrup has mild laxative properties so it can relieve constipation, but can cause side effects like electrolyte imbalance, stomach cramps, or can also trigger diarrhea.

Sorbiline syrup is ideally not prescribed for constipation so do not take the medicine without consultation by your local treating doctor. You should get liver function tests and imaging tests done for your liver to detect any liver problem or dysfunction.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
