Can I Take Tindamax Prescribed For Vaginitis Infection Within Twelve Hours Of Taking Vodka Martini?
I had one alcoholic drink tonight with dinner; a vodka martini. My doctor has prescribed Tindamax, 2 grams, for me to start tomorrow morning for a bacterial vaginosis infection. Will I be okay to start it, given that I had that one alcoholic drink? It will be 12 hours prior, before I take the Tindamax.

You can start Tindamax 12 or more hours after the last drink as alcohol leaves the body within a few hours. But the reverse is not true. You should wait for at least 72 hours after the last dose of Tindamax before taking a drink, otherwise there is the risk of an unpleasant interaction between alcohol and Tindamax, manifesting as flushing, sweating, nausea, vomiting etc.
