Can I Take Antibiotics To Cure Bladder Infection During Pregnancy?
I m 23 weeks and 7 days pregnant i ve had a bladder infection for the past week and have been taking antiotics for it well this weekend i ve been on my feet alot and walking alot but have drank plenty of water and last night when i peed there was pink on the toilet paper when i wiped what could this mean?
Hi Congratulations on your pregnancy. You are just doing thing by taking antibiotics for your bladder infection as these infections can cause preterm birth and kidney infections in pregnancy. It is advisable to make sure that the particular antibiotic is safe to take in pregnancy. Having pink on the toilet paper can be either due to some blood in the urine due to infection or due to vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding in pregnancy can be serious. Therefore I would suggest to keep an eye on it and to get it checked if there is any more.
