Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 19 years old and took 2 Trazadone pills because 1 just doesn't cut it. The label said to take one. I'm 5'4, 95lbs.
1. Is that going to be harmful to me? 2. I took them over an hour ago and don't really feel tired at all is it too dangerous to take another one? 3. The pharmacist said that since I took two today and I'm so light, I shouldn't take any tomorrow, but I like to take them every night. Can I take them tomorrow too?
hello user, thanks for contacting HCM for your query- you have not mentioned that why you are on trazodone ? If you are prescribed that medicine by some practitioner , then you should take that dose and times that are said by your doctor as he must have adjusted that to your symptoms and other factors- if you are not feeling well with that dose , you should contact your doctor once again rather than doubling the dose on your own (you have not mentioned the dose ) , and yes it can result in some troubling side effects - as medicine does not operate on mathematical principles , that if 2 doses are not resulting in any side effect then 3rd dose also would be safe - "NO" - the side effects can be various for example excessive sedation, day time drowsiness resulting in accidents, lethargy, constipation , dry mouth , erectile problems etc - so my advice would be to stick to the dosage and frequncy prescribed and talk with ypur doctor - and if it is taken by your own without presciption - stop using that drug , that is not safe !! hope i answered your query - if satisfied please rate the answer - any followup queries are welcome
