Can I Travel For A Long Distance During Early Pregnancy?
Hi,my last period was on 14th february and i missed my next period (usually have regular period) I did a home pregnancy test and its +ve. but now i need to travel by bus and train it involves 12 hours journey (One way). and i have to be back after five days which involves the same time journey. What should i do ?
Pregnancy before 14 weeks of gestation is considered to be rather unstable. 12 hours travel, that too by bus and train is rather very hectic at this stage of pregnancy. If you have to travel on bumpy roads, it will still be more risky. Moreover, you plan travel back the same after 5 days.
No madam; it will be hectic for you and may prove to be risky for your pregnancy. During such travel, you may land into any emergency situation at an unequipped places. I will advice you not to travel at this stage of pregnancy. Even if you are planning to postpone your travel by few weeks, please remember my advice :'During pregnancy, travel only when you must'.
I hope this gives you the correct message.
