Can I Use Eurax Cream For Vaginal Itching Caused By STD?
Doctor I recently had an STI and I got medication for it about two weeks ago was on the 7 day program and I'm now fine although the itching on my vagina isn't as sever as before its stil there and well the discharge has no odor any longer and the discharge comes once a day and normaly so please help me I'm confused, should I be worried that the STI isn't gone completely or can I just use eurax cream
You had not mentioned for what STI you had been treated. For vaginal discharge it is better to examine the genitals with speculum to ascertain whether it is a cervical discharge or vaginal discharge, macroscopic nature of discharge and the condition of the vagina and cervix. Apart from that the discharge has to be taken in 3 smears ( wet saline, KOH, dry stained) and have to be examined for the presence of Yeast, Trichomonas, Gonococcus and Clue cells (Bacterial vaginitis). As per the outcome the treatment has to be planned. Eurax cream has anti-itching property, but not indicated to use for vaginal itching. It is indicated only for external skin itching only.
