Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, How are you? My name is Dr Suresh Raghavaiah. I am a surgical Gastro-enterologist and I hope to answer your question today. Removal of the gall bladder is usually done by laparoscopic technique, which involves making 3 tiny incisions and removing the gall bladder. The main advantage of this is that there is very little pain, and patients are up and about the next day itself. Although I would avoid heavy lifting and multiple trips up and down, I do not see any reason why you will not be able to walk the stairs after the surgery.
Hope this helps and hope you start to feel better. Please do not hesitate to write back for clarifications
Have a great day. Dr Suresh Raghavaiah
