Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Indomethacin Have A Bad Interaction With Lisonopril And Zoloft And Cause High BP?
I take lisonopril and zoloft, for anxiety and stress and uneven blood pressure. However I had elbow surgery and my doctor put me on Indomethacin. It is known to have moderately bad interaction with those two. My blood pressure is all over the place, it is 140/90 with a heart rate of 64. really light headed. Should I discontinue use of the indomethacin? I have a call into the doctor for 4 days and he has not gotten back to me.
Thank you for the question. As you have rightly mentioned, indometacine and Zoloft are known to have side effects especially with respect to increased chances of bleeding. It would have been more helpful if I could get details about your age and gender. Do you have any symptoms such as unusual bleeding or bruising, swelling, vomiting, blood in your urine or stools or weakness ? Kindly revert if possible or contact you r physician if you find any of the symptoms Since you also mention that you have uncontrolled blood pressure and presently feel light headed, it is recommended that you stop indomethacin intake and consult your doctor at the earliest.
