Can keflex cause an acute catatonic state of short duration but recurrent. I admitted to psych ward woman frozen staring off and on arrival to ward she s fine, animated chatty. CT head basic labs fine. Waiting on thyroid studies. No travel, VSS, no raw meat / known tick exposure etc. took weight loss agent Thermalift contains alot caffeine and ?Mayhong -but stopped it weeks ago; celexa 20mg, keflex 500mg qid was started 11days ago and it seems temporally related to these episodes. 3-4 hours sleep past 2 weeks, 13lb weight loss On Mobil 15mg daily Provera 5mg, recently stopped Cymbalta

it is really unlikely to be a cephalosporin. very little of it gets into the brain and it doesn't have direct neurotoxin effects. furthermore it would depend on what exactly one means by Catalonia.
the main definition is not moving but totally conscious. this is generally a psychological state. total weakness or unconsciousness is different.
