My mother was having chest pains and we took her to the hospital. After the doctor evaluated the situation, they tried to do an angioblast... put stents in her right and left heart valves through her arm veins... they were not able to. Because of the chest pains, about two days later, they had to put the stents (stints?) through her groin. After the procedure, she had a stroke which was not discovered until the following morning. After being in the hospital for some time and at a TCU for recovery, she is now home with our family. My question is are the below drugs normally prescribed for a 81 year old woman in her condition. She does have a history of blood pressure going up and down. Below is the list and times of the drugs prescribed/given to her daily. I need to know if there are other options of drugs that might work as well, but not be so many to take, or is this the normal procedure after a stroke/Stints? 5:15 a.m. Levothyroxine 25 mg (thyroid) 7:15 a.m: 3.125 mg Carvedilol (heart) 5mg Isosorbide Dinitrate (heart) 20 mg Lasix (Furosemide) (blood thinner/heart?) 1 gram Sodium Chloride (blood pressure?) 81 mg aspirin (heart) Vitamin D3 (Cholecaleiferol 75 mg Clopidogrel (heart) 30 mg Prevacide (Lansoprazole) (Stomach) 25 mg Seroquel (Quetiapine) (hullicination/confusion) 5 mg Lisinopril (angiotensive - converting enzyme inhitor to treat high blood pressure, heart failure & after heart attack, preventing kidney & eye complication with people who have diabetes) (my mom does not have diabetes) 12 noon: 5 mg Isosorbide dinitrate 5PM: 30 mg Prevacide (Lanazoprazole) (stomach) 5mg Isosorbide dinitrate 1 gram Sodium Chloride 3.125 mg Carvedilol 10pm: 80 mg Atorvastatin (heart) 50 mg Seroquel (Quetiapine) 75
